Let’s be really ambitious and seek a universal understanding of all three dimensional matter from microscale to macroscale to be purely geometric objects. Then we expect particles to be stable three dimensional manifolds like neutron which has real stability unlike most of the socalled ‘particles’ smashed from high energy accelerators whose halflives are less than 10^{8} seconds so tiny that they could just be geometric waste products that cannot exist in the material universe at all beyond these tiny time scales because they are not really particles at all but they do exist for short periods of time the energy they capture from the smashing of high energy beams has some geometric effect on the material hypersurface of the universe.
Now the way that force works in normal accepted physics by consensus and by invention I think of Laplace, gradient of V is the Newtonian force. So the question is what is the geometry of this Vu(x) we defined in (1). So now we take a look at the following snapshot telling us abut how the covariant derivative of the normal field is the second fundamental form of the surface, so intuitively we’d want the second fundamental form of the surface to be force.
So the hard problem is totally conceptual not in detailed mathematics which comes after the fundamental picture is clear.
