ARTISTS and PHILOSOPHERS are the only people truly free of the influence of the structure of Empires because, I will contend, artists must necessarily take the lyrical step of giving up any spot reserved for them by Empire by dissolution of the willing self to seek identity that is aesthetic and lyrical. This I have learned from fighting magic wars against Empires (multiple ones simulataneously). Of course the normal condition is that artists therefore cannot have POWER within the Imperial pyramid. This is precisely the connecting link with Section 5 of The Birth of Tragedy.

Action at a distance’ in the physical universe can happen for many other reasons than ‘quantum entanglement’. Imagine a sheet of paper folded up in flat 3D space closer at some points than others. You can have action ‘at a distance’ from the 2D perspective. This I claim is how magic is possible and how our voices can travel across the physical universe. But the 4D universe is not empty. Empire pyramids are designed precisely to take advantage of ‘action at a distance’ by molding 4D matter to produce variations in actions at a distance. Overall people have small minds because Empire needs their minds squashed. ¬†There is a long history of the issue from the famous Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen paradox for which a good reference could be this, but since for me quantization is clearly just a geometric phenomenon in a four (space) dimensional universe, I don’t think quantum entanglement is the right way of looking at the problem. ¬†‘Spooky action at a distance’ is possible for two reasons: first because electromagnetism itself is different from a U(1) gauge theory in a three-space and second because I know that magic is real and it is possible to have reach across the world metaphysically with sufficient metaphysical infrastructure.

For better or for worse it is a good idea to begin with a clear understanding that Empiricism has ruled the educated classes regarding the ground level of truth for many centuries by now so that the human body is a material machine and consciousness is a function of the brain. When Emerson dives into mysticism in “The Oversoul” where he declares that the soul transcends not only intellect and will but also nature. Emerson thus has the view of primacy of consciousness over nature. Lyrical poets like Shelley have similar positions expressed in Alastor and other poems. Now the S4 physics approach first overcomes the limitations of empiricism in science itself by showing that empirical evidence exists for metaphysics to be defined in terms of physics of a four-sphere universe which gives us not only the problem with U(1) electromagnetism (because the four-sphere seems like the total space of a bundle over the physical universe) while it is not quite but gives us a concrete model for all metaphysics and also how to produce a concrete science that can incorporate it. In particular, the mind can be understood as the S4 universe itself perhaps with limitations of thought and behavior that are implemented by four-dimensional activity and construction. Magic is nothing more or less than affecting non-physical four-dimensional reality sometimes with effects on the ‘external world’. I have spent a lot of time on these issues breaking through conventional empirical restrictions to find better answers. For example it is now my view that ‘Empire’ is purely metaphysical construction and I will claim that testing myself against Netanyahu and Bush as well as now Windsor is an excellent test for my theses anyway because I believe that the world cannot change easily without fundamental evolution of metaphysical structure of society of the planet away from Empire. But We Are Empires for this task.

In my mind, the sublime example of lyrical genius is Percy Bysshe Shelley. However, I would like to make the case that Langston Hughes has been unjustly denied the stature of lyrical genius in the universal human scale even though ‘A Dream Deferred’ has the qualities that constitute the profound transformation of the willing subject to produce the aesthetic. This is an issue of extreme interest to me these days because Section 5 of Nietzsche’s ‘The Birth of Tragedy’ and the point at which the lyrical art is produced from the drunken cries of desire of the willing subject turns into art. The ‘Dream Deferred’ does this in no less a poweful manner as Shelley’s Alastor and indeed the lyrical component is concentrated. This is a poem about universal human condition in a dystopia rather than some local issue about Harlem, a frankly denigrating denial of Hughes’ deserved genius.

In Dialogic Imagination Bakhtin details his brilliant theory of Dostoevsky’s novelty in the novel genre: the production of clashing consciousnesses. The best example and perhaps the culmination of the talent of Dostoevsky’s that Bakhtin examined is ‘The Brothers Karamazov’. I have written previously about why representative democracy is illegitimate by ideals of Republic but I think one can ask the question of the possibility of true democracy for the human race that is just. In an ideal world, one should just scale up the clash of consciousness by seven billion. What should be the rules for such a clash? Obviously we don’t want to allow things like fear of nuclear destruction and things like that.

If we want to understand the subtlety of electromagnetism that actually operates in the universe, we have to merge two different streams. On one side we have to understand that the fundamental part of electromagnetism has to involve the delicate duality in a FOUR (space) dimensional universe that comes from the fact that the universal cover of SO(4) is not simple but splits as SU(2)xSU(2) and on the other hand that one sees something like a U(1)-bundle from a three dimensional hypersurface in S4(1/h) where every normal geodesic of fixed length seems like the fiber of a U(1) bundle with the hypersurface as base space.
